For investors

Win the deals capital alone cannot.

You are bidding for the same UK rounds as funds with deeper local networks, and money rarely decides allocation. What you have that they do not is the region. We turn that into something a founder can act on.

The access is real. Turning it into an offer is the work.

When a strong UK company runs a competitive round, capital is plentiful and allocation is scarce. Founders choose backers on what comes attached to the money.

You can offer entry to a market that is actively spending, which no UK fund can match. The difficulty is that “we can help you in the region” is a sentence rather than an offer. It does not survive contact with a founder holding three term sheets and a board asking why they would take yours.

The gap sits between the access you have and a concrete proposition a company can build a plan around. That, and the deal flow to point it at, is what we build.

What we provide

Deal flow with a route attached

  • Screened twice before you see it

Every company we bring you has cleared two filters. It has to be fundable on its own merits, which protects you from the companies courting Gulf money because they cannot raise cleanly at home. And it has to have a serious GCC growth case, so the opportunity is commercial rather than theoretical.

  • Matched to your mandate

We do not circulate a list. We spend time understanding what you invest in, by sector, stage, cheque size, ownership and board appetite, and bring you the companies that fit.

  • A market-entry plan you can put on the table

Each company arrives with a worked view of what expansion into the region involves: the buyer landscape, licensing and entity requirements, a timeline, and the resource it needs. That document is what turns your access into an offer a founder can act on.

  • Delivery after the money lands

Your proposition only holds if the expansion happens. We stay on to deliver it, working with partners on the ground, so what you promised at term sheet is what the company gets.

Our process, end to end

  1. 1

    Thesis alignment

We spend proper time on your mandate before sending you anything. Precision matters more than volume here.

  2. 2

    Sourcing and screening

We source from Growth Studio's continuous flow of companies and from our wider UK network, then screen hard against both filters.

  3. 3

    Preparation

Before any introduction we prepare the company: GCC-specific positioning, a market-entry plan, and the diligence materials your team will want.

  4. 4

    Introduction

You meet companies that already understand why you specifically are a valuable investor to them.

  5. 5

    Transaction support

We support the process through to close, alongside your team and advisers.

  6. 6

    Expansion delivery

After investment we run the market-entry programme, so your access converts into revenue for the company and a return for you.

Built for outward-looking Gulf capital

We work with funds, family offices and VC-style single-family offices across the GCC that are competing for international deals and want an edge over UK investors.

We do not work with the sovereign giants. PIF, QIA, Mubadala and ADIA have substantial in-house teams and direct access to any founder they want, so we would add nothing.

Our fit is the investor who has the capital and the regional standing but not the London deal flow, and who would rather be an expansion partner than a passive line on a cap table.

Why Vantage

Deal flow is easy to promise and difficult to source

Vantage is built on Growth Studio, which runs acceleration programmes across Europe and has done for [NUMBER] years. We are not hunting for companies to show you. We work with them continuously, which means we know them well before you see them.

We also know the region. Growth Studio has delivered programmes in [NUMBER] countries, including sustained work in the GCC. [PLACEHOLDER — one or two concrete sentences on GCC engagements, with named clients or partners.]

We are already in conversation with a group of Gulf investors building exactly this capability. [PLACEHOLDER — describe your existing Gulf investor relationships at whatever level of specificity you are comfortable with. Even “a small group of family offices in Dubai and Riyadh” carries more weight than silence. Do not name individual investors without written permission.]

Common questions

What kind of companies will we see?

UK-headquartered scale-ups, usually Series A to Series C or profitable and scaling, with proven revenue and a credible path to meaningful GCC revenue. We work across [PLACEHOLDER — sectors].

How do you assess GCC potential?

We look at demand-side evidence rather than optimism. Is there active, funded buying for this category in the region? How much adaptation does the product need? What do licensing and entity setup involve? Is there a plausible route to material revenue within [TIMEFRAME]? Companies that fail this never reach you.

How do we know you are not showing us companies that could not raise in the UK?

Because that is the quickest way for us to become worthless to you. Independent fundability is our first filter, applied before anything else. We would rather send you fewer names than damage the quality signal.

Are you a placement agent? Are you regulated?

[PLACEHOLDER — the accurate answer depends on the AR appointment being in force. Draft wording once confirmed: “We operate as an appointed representative of [PRINCIPAL FIRM], authorised and regulated by the FCA, with permissions covering arranging deals in investments and financial promotion.” Do not publish a regulatory claim before it is true.]

How do you handle cross-border marketing rules?

UK authorisation does not cover promotion into the UAE, DIFC, ADGM or Saudi Arabia, each of which has its own regime. We take local counsel on the jurisdictions we operate into and structure engagements accordingly. We are happy to walk your team through the approach.

Who pays you?

Our fees come from the transaction and from advisory engagements: a retainer plus a success fee on capital raised, and separate fees for market-entry delivery. [PLACEHOLDER — confirm whether investors ever pay a fee directly and state it plainly. Ambiguity on this point is expensive.]

Do you work exclusively with one investor?

[PLACEHOLDER — decide and state your policy. Options include fully non-exclusive, exclusivity by sector or by deal, or first-look arrangements for anchor partners. Investors ask this early.]

Do you co-invest?

[PLACEHOLDER — answer honestly. If not currently, say “Not at present” rather than omitting the question.]

What do you need from us?

A clear mandate, a named point of contact, and honest feedback on what we send. The tighter your input, the more precise our sourcing becomes.

What happens after we invest?

We run the market-entry programme: entity and licensing, buyer and partner introductions, and support through the first commercial cycles. You get to be the investor who delivered what they said they would.
